Shark Deluxe Steam Mop, S3202 Review

Shark Deluxe Steam Mop, S3202
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We have allergies, so most of our floors are hard covered. I have tried the scooba, which works well but only does one room at a time, and requires a bit of set up. This product is a third of the price of scooba, and works amazingly well. I suggest vacuuming first, since you do not rinse the mop head and dont want to risk scratching your floor with sandy residue. Then simply fill the mop with water, wait 30 seconds and you're ready to go. I was impressed by the way the mop cleaned, evident by the dirt on the pad! We have one old original wood floor in our bedroom and was a bit leery of trying it on the wood, but seriously, when my husband got home, he asked me what I did to make the floor look so nice! It steamed away stains we were not able to get out with any other method. I love not having to use chemicals on the floors in order to clean them. This mop comes with 5 machine washable pads, so you will not need to buy replacements for a long time, although when you do, you will note that they are expensive! It also comes with a glider for carpets, so you can steam and refresh them. It is a bit awkward to use it, but does the job.

Bissell : 31N1 Steam Mop Deluxe Hard-Floor Cleaner - Mineral Blue Review

Bissell : 31N1 Steam Mop Deluxe Hard-Floor Cleaner - Mineral Blue
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Well I bought one of these from ABCVACUUM in Austin Tx yesterday for 89.95. I got it today.
I couldn't wait to try it out. Anything that looks this good on TV usually isn't.
First some facts. I'm a guy and I'm 65 and a widower. It's me and the dogs and the linoleum floor in my kitchen is about 50+ years old and the old spoonge wet mop just wasn't cuttin it.
Well, I put this thing together and plugged it in. It doesn't have an on/off switch. You wait for the red light to come on which doesn't take long and then pull the trigger and start mopping.
The first thing I noticed was it was hard to push on the old floor, but since I lift weights I decided this was just a new form of exercise that I could get something out of besides muscle tone. The next thing I noticed was the dirt came off the floor. It didn't take me very long and the kitchen was done and next time it should be even quicker since it's much cleaner now.
If you are slight and weak you're not gonna like this on the kind of floor that I have because it's hard to push around. It may work easier on a wood floor.
Second they give you enough liquid for two uses and then you need to get your own. I have really hard water so I'm skipping the tap water and going with distilled water from the start otherwise I think I would be buying a lot of filtration systems.
I've got a closet full of Dust Devils and other stuff that doesn't work but this thing works good. Now if it will just last.
This review is for the Model 31N1 series.

This product did not do what I hoped. It smells for a few minutes, while using my steam mop, but then does not last and it wasnt what I wanted...I usually like floor cleaner that has fragrance, that smells clean, yet this product did not do the job, unfortunetly. I just purchased a steam mop, and wanted floors to smell nice and clean, but this product was costly, more than the floor cleaners usually cost, and didnt smell fresh! I wont purchase this again

Panasonic MCCL485 Bagless Straight-Suction Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

Panasonic MCCL485 Bagless Straight-Suction Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I own one of the largest Residential Cleaning Services in my State. I use this machine exclusively for my hard floor areas. I found that the suction is terrific and is equal to machines that cost hundreds more. It is simple to operate. It has no "powerhead", so it is pretty much only a hard surface vacuum. However, I found a hand held turbo attachment that works wonderful with it becaause of the great suction this machine has. It makes the turbo scream with power enough to pick up the worst pet hair on furniture and hard to get areas of carpeting between furniture and walls. I have 20 of these machines, which have lasted a long time, considering that we put 20 times more usage on them than a normal household would.

LadyBug T 2200S Dry Vapor Steam Cleaner with TANCS Disinfection System Review

LadyBug T 2200S Dry Vapor Steam Cleaner with TANCS Disinfection System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When I started doing research on purchasing a dry vapor steamer, I was going to go with a middle of the road version - not cheap at 600 bucks, but not as nice as this one for sure. I finally decided to go with the ladybug after weeks of poring over information and comparing. One of the best decisions - I use this thing for EVERYTHING. Other machines, when the water gets low, you have to turn off the machine and unplug it and let it cool for like 40 minutes before you can refill it and then turn it back on and wait for it to heat up again. I don't have time to do that - I have to squeeze my cleaning time in when my toddler is napping or sleeping.
I can basically fill the tank, plug it in and turn it on and it's ready to go in about 15 minutes - while it's heating up initially, I clear away the clutter in the room. I start in the kitchen and use the triangle brush with the terrycloth towel to clean the counters, cupboards, fridge and sink basin. This literally takes a couple of minutes tops. It took me SO much longer with crap chemicals and paper towels and/or a sponge. This you just glide over the surfaces and it just melts away the grease and junk and gets soaked up into the towel. It also cools very quickly (like almost instantly) when you stop pulling the trigger for the steam, so I can easily pop off the attachment and put on the spray nozzel and blast the nookes and crannies in the sink, around the handles and the dish sprayer. Then I'll usually get carried away and start disinfecting the drains, cabinet handles, the seal around the fridge and freezer that captures crumbs and grows mildew, the seal area around the dishwasher door that gets disgusting, the stove burners, etc etc etc. But again, this all takes a few minutes. You just fly from one thing to the next and the steam is so hot it is almost dry even after being blasted by the spray nozzel. I usually just wipe over with the another terrycloth towel for the heck of it but you don't have to. Then I slap on the rectangle attachment and toss a towel on there (btw, the short DVD it comes with shows you how to diaper the towel onto the attachments (you don't have to, but they are really nice in capturing the crud that this thing imulsifies off of any surface. It takes about 5 seconds total to do it since the clips are super strong and easy to use) and quickly steam the floor. You can seriously clean and disinfect the entire kitchen in a matter of minutes without a single chemical. Even though we had switched to all natural cleaners, they still leave residue and many have strong scents. Another thing I noticed is that with a dry vapor steamer, everything gleams when it's been cleaned (and our kitchen is super old!). I never realized just how matte the surfaces were after using cleaners since they leave a film behind and a steamer does not. It's just water that you are using.
At this point, after using the blast nearly full steam on the sink for a few minutes, I switch the machine off and can instantly open the cap and refill the tank. You don't have to refill it until it beeps that it's running low, but I usually do it after each major room (bathrooms, kitchen) that I clean because why not? You don't have to wait for it to cool like other machines, you can do it on the fly. Then you pick it up and move it to the next room (for me I tackle the bathrooms next) and plug it in and turn it on and it signals it's ready in a couple minutes (about 2-3) Again, I clean up the clutter in those few minutes and then I'm ready to steam away the bathroom germs. Triangle brush on the walls, ceilings (big mildew hotspot, we have the kind you can't really see. You have to wipe it down and then you see the telltale pink residue on the towel), mirrors, counters, showers, sinks then the floors. I do it in this order so I go from cleanest thing to dirtiest thing - the same towel will capture it all. Plus, the steam is so hot it kills germs on contact so you are not spreading any. You can certainly change towels from item to item if you wish, but you do not have to. (Incidentally, I bought a gigantic lifetime supply of terrycloth towels for 15 bucks at my local discount warehouse store. The machine comes with two, but I do like plowing through clean towels when I do a whole house clean so I can just toss them all in the wash when I'm done, and I usually wash them with the bathroom towels so it makes one big wash I'd have to do once a week anyway - no wasted water!) Then I use the nozzle to blast the toilet bowls and sides/bottoms and I am done and my bathrooms are disinfected and shiny.
For bedrooms/living rooms/etc, I use the window attachment to clean all of the windows, the little wedge attachment for the window sills and tracts (you will not believe the disgusting crap that comes out of them) and closet door tracts, and the triangle brush with towel will seriously destroy dust without knocking it up into the air. You can even use it to disinfect your mattress and carpets if you are worried about ever getting (or god forbid if you HAVE) bedbugs - the steam kills EVERYTHING. Dustmites, pests, everything.
This is pretty much my routine and it has cut down the time it took to clean the house immensely. You only need to have one machine out (okay, you have to vacuum at some point and that is another machine) and it's small and easy to pick up from room to room. It doesn't leave any smells behind - it's amazing the difference you notice when you start using it. Your house will smell completely different! Or rather, it WON'T smell ;) I have used this crazy thing to clean the weirdest stuff - things I had never thought about before. This thing is awesome. Easy to bust it out every night and disinfect the kitchen in a matter of minutes, small enough to fit in the hall closet. Plus I don't have to drain the thing - you can keep the water in there for 3 months before having to do a formal draining. This is with the TANCS version - I am not sure if that applies to one that does not have TANCS. Worth getting as it obliterates crap that is in your tap water as you use it so that just pure clean steam is coming out.
All in all this has changed things considerably for me. With regular cleaners it took me forever - I would spend a couple of hours a night just to get a few rooms done at a time and the house smelled like multiple cleaners. Now I am disinfecting my entire house, getting rid of irritants, never buying anymore cleaners or mops or swiffers or scrubbers and it takes a fraction of the time to clean. I'm finally able to sit my butt down and write a review about something because I am not stuck in the bathroom with spray bottles and antibacterial wipes and toilet brushes.
(By the way, this thing obliterates weeds in the patio and garden (nozzle attachment),and grime in the bbq grills, CARSEATS!!!!!! (anyone with a toddler with milk in a sippy cup or a snack squirreled away in the carseat flaps understands this one) and the garage (garbage bins, anyone?). I've even used it on the garbage cans in the house, the light fixtures (after I took them down of course :P), our toothbrushes once a week (a shot of steam with the nozzle from a few inches away) and my makeup brushes. Heck, I've disassembled the vacuum cleaner and steamed the individual non-electric parts (like the spin brushes and chambers and attachments and so forth). I'm sure I'm forgetting things - use this thing to your imagination (while using common judgement. Don't spray it in, oh... the outlets or your ipod obviously ;P) and you will understand why I'm being such a goober in this review and writing a novel. I can't say enough good things about this purchase.
If you made it to the bottom of this review, you are a trooper and I salute you.

I have an unfixed male English Mastiff that slobbers everywhere. Babyganics floor cleaner is probably the best floor cleaner that I have come across to help with the stubborn drool and paw prints that is environmentally friendly. Ammonia with mixed with water is just as good, but as an expectant mother, breathing in those fumes is not a good idea.

Hoover FH40030 FloorMate with SpinScrub and Tools Review

Hoover FH40030 FloorMate with SpinScrub and Tools
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased my first FloorMate when it first came out, from the Hoover web site. It lasted me 10 years and then the hose that sucks up the water cracked. I was going to order the part and fix it, but when I saw this model I just had to have it.
Like my first one it works great and is easier to clean then the first model. The idea of washing the floor with clean water and not having to keep passing a dirty mop over my floors is a wonderful concept for me. It does get the floor clean and dry with a little push and pull and with the new attachments there's nowhere it can't go.
To sum it up works great, cleans great and I wouldn't be without it.

Eureka 3684F Pet Lover Mighty Mite Review

Eureka 3684F Pet Lover Mighty Mite
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Mighty Mite is a decent vacuum cleaner, especially for the money. I've been through 3 vacuums in 2 years, and I know junk when I see it now. And, for the most part, the Mighty Mite isn't junk.
Pros: It is very lightweight, has good reach with the telescoping pole, decent suction, and the pet hair attachment seems to work fine on my sofa and rugs. The HEPA filter is a definite plus and my hope is that the quantity of house dust will be seriously lowered. It is easy to move, but could use a longer cord than 20 ft.
Cons: The instructions don't even MENTION the pet hair attachment! The only references are on the box it comes in. The suction is adjusted by a rotating ring on the handle, exactly where you hand goes. So, if you accidentally move it to a more closed position while your hand is there, your skin gets sucked in with it. All the attachments do NOT go on the canister. There is provision for one small attachment and the crevice tool onboard. Everything else has to go elsewhere. Plus there is no easy way to deal with the hoses and telescoping rod. They don't fit together any special way and won't stand up. The power cord winds up underneath the vacuum and the plug should clip on to the cord. But, the clip on the plug doesn't actually fit over the cord. It is too small and too tight and makes indentations deeply into the cord, so you can't really safely use that 'feature'.
Sometimes, you have to wonder if the manufacturer ever even tried out the machine themselves. For example, the reason this is lightweight is that it uses incredible flimsy plastic hose. I suspect you could poke a finger through it if you tried hard enough. And, the canister itself is also plastic. That isn't theoretically bad, but what happens is, in a static-y environment, the hair and dust you are trying to get rid of is attracted to the hose and canister! So, you end up with a cleaner house and a vacuum completely covered in hairs and dust. That 'feature' isn't mentioned on the box...
Overall, I like this, in spite of all the negatives. Longevity is a bit of concern for the tools and hose, but it has suction, the disposable bag makes for a cleaner house, it is very easy to carry up and down the stairs and has a long enough reach to reach everywhere in my old house. I'm going to keep it...

Shaw 32 oz R2X Green Formula Hard Surface Flooring Clean Review

Shaw 32 oz R2X Green Formula Hard Surface Flooring Clean
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've used SEVERAL floor cleaners on my tile and laminate floors which we laid about 4 years ago. We have dogs, live in the country, and lots of stuff gets tracked in. Some cleaners show all the footprints, even the clean ones. Some cleaners leave a filmy stuff. And some leave streaks. I even bought a steam mop and it may clean well, but it leaves so many streaks it looks worse when I'm done. I just bought the Shaw R2X today at our local hardware store. It took off every mark without much effort on my part with a cheap terry pad on the end of a cheap handle I've had around. No more tracks and no more streaks on either the tile or the laminate. I might be back to give this 5 stars if it does what the bottle says and repels future marks. So far, though, I'm quite impressed. It's the first product I've tried that didn't leave me wondering why I even bothered cleaning.

Dyson DC26 Multi-Floor City Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

Dyson DC26 Multi-Floor City Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I read the previous review and decided to purchase this vacuum anyway. Before purchasing I looked at practically every vacuum on the market and if I lived in a slightly bigger home, I probably would purchase a Miele or bigger Dyson instead. As it is, I live in a VERY small condo that has practically no storage space and this has turned out to be THE ideal vacuum for me! I have hardwood floors, tile and carpet in my home so I LOVE the fact that I can use this machine on all three! My place is so small that I had been using a hand-held Dirt Devil vacuum for my carpet and a Swiffer for the hardwood floors and tile. I really wanted to get a canister vacuum to get under my couch, furniture, etc. but I needed to also have something that would be reasonably small to store. This vacuum has been perfect!
It is true that the vacuum does NOT leave "waves" on your carpet when you vacuum, but that is not a deal breaker for me. The vacuum is also rather expensive for what you get, but again, there is nothing else on the market that is this small and this powerful! One thing I would add is that once it is assembled, it is a bit bigger than you might expect because of the hose. I had to wrap the hose around the "stick" part to store it in the available space I have, but it fits perfectly!
As far as actual cleaning, it works great! I find it to be much quieter than the vacuum it replaced and it has TONS of suction. The exhaust is so strong that it slowly spun my ceiling fans around as I cleaned. Impressive power, indeed!
If you live in a very small home/space/condo, then I would say look no further! This is exactly what you want to buy! If you have a lot of space you may want something more powerful and/or cheaper. However, I'm very impressed by the performance and I LOVE the small size...nothing bigger would fit in my home!

method Squirt+Mop, Hard Floor Cleaner, Lemon Ginger 25 fl oz (739 ml)
Average Reviews:

I use the Lemon Ginger floor cleaner on both our tile and wood floors. We love the scent and it isn't overwhelming like some of the commercial cleaning products like Mr. Clean. Best of all it doesn't leave our wooden floors "squeaky" or "sticky" like the rest of the floor cleaners.
Tip: A little goes a long way when you use the Method microfiber pads. No need to saturate every square inch of the floor before mopping so a bottle of Squirt+Mop will go a long long way! I clean our wood and tile floors at least twice a month and we can make 25 oz bottle last 6 months or more and it still does twice the job as a Swiffer wetjet or a bucket of ammonia.

Oreck Commercial PR8000 Oreck Rechargeable Sweeper Review

Oreck Commercial PR8000 Oreck Rechargeable Sweeper
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We have two kids under age 3 and a cat, so we have plenty of food, cat litter, and fur to pick up. This little vac is extremely quiet and lightweight, and picks up even cat litter and cooked rice! It does not clean the edges near the wall or corners well; that is its only drawback. I end up having to use a broom to sweep the edges and corners into the middle of the room. Most of our messes are in the main part of the floor, so it is not a huge deal to us. We have had it for two weeks and use it daily and are still on the initial battery charge. I also like the adjustable length of the handle since my husband and I are both tall.
So far, it has been a great purchase. It sure makes cleanup fast and easy.

I was very pleased with this product. After trying to use standard vacuums in my business of cleaning foreclosed homes we needed something better. I am happy with the handle that folds down for easier transporting in the back of my truck. This has a silent mode when needed, and a booster for extra heavily soiled carpet. It uses a heavy cord which comes with it.I would recommend this vacuum for both home & business.

Dirt Devil PD2000B Easy Steam Deluxe 1500-Watt Steam Mop with Bonus Pads Review

Dirt Devil PD2000B Easy Steam Deluxe 1500-Watt Steam Mop with Bonus Pads
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this steam mop because I starting seeing them everywhere and curiosity got the best of me. I have no real complaints about this mop because based on the price, it does what it should.
I use it on tile, hardwood, and stick on laminate flooring. It works great on the tile and laminate/hardwood floor. However, on the stick on flooring, the mop has a tendency to stick, which is probably because the heat from the mop start to melt the stick on flooring.
When pushing the mop, it stays in contact with the floor but when pulling it back, it lifts from the floor. I have no issue with this and I simply modified my strokes and speed to account for it. The first time I used the mop, my floors were very wet but each subsequent session has proven to be right on target. The floors take less than one minute to dry.
I love that the pads are washable and that there are no chemicals involved. I use the mop every 2 to 3 weeks and it always makes my house smell fresh and clean. The first time I used the mop, I had to use both pads because they got so filthy. Each subsequent session, I have been able to do about 1000 sq ft with just one pad. I am pretty certain that the Swiffer was not getting my floors clean. Speaking of the Swiffer, the steam mop leaves a lot fewer streaks than the Swiffer and in both cases, my last strokes are with the wood grain.
One important note, the handle is a bit flimsy. Do not extend it to its fullest setting or you will feel as though you are going to snap it in half. I am 5'8 and I initially tried it on the tallest setting and that was a bit scary. I had visions of the handle breaking and me hitting the floor. I backed off one notch and it's acceptable now.
For 50 bucks, this mop is totally a good buy and if you have laminate/hardwood or tile floors you won't be disappointed. If you have the stick on type flooring you will not like this steam mop, although I am not convinced it is specific to this mop, as much as it is they type of flooring and how it adapts to heat.

I bought this for the little things, and for that it works- as long as it doesn't take you more than about 3-4 minutes to clean up. The battery on this thing sucks. It takes a long time to get a full charge and a full charge means only about 4 minutes of battery usage.
Save yourself the frustration and spend the extra few dollars to get a higher quality vacuum.

I shopped online for weeks before deciding. I have been borrowing Bissell carpet cleaners for a while, this one seems to be the best so far. Assembly was easy. It was a little heaver then I expected. I like the water resivoir, they have improved the seals & latches. The stairs are labor intensive, as the water shoots out very concentrated & it takes a lot of work to get them dry. Maybe it just takes a while to get the hang of it. Overall, glad I bought it.
