The built-in brush is wonderful for extra-tough stains, and the product lasts a long time. Amazon's price is good too, but the shipping weight listed -- 7.5 pounds for a 12-ounce can -- doubles the price, and is really hard to believe unless they ship the can in a stone box! You're better off buying from your local hardware or discount store.

(More customer reviews)I am a big fan of Swiffer products. I use the Wet Jet and Dusters almost daily. When I saw this item at the store, I was skeptical. It didn't really look like it would work that good. But it was on sale, so I bought it. I put it together (pushing the pole together was kind of hard) fairly easily. I inserted the cartridge. (My house mainly has laminate hard wood floors and just a little carpet. I bought the Flick for in between vacuumings.) I rolled it along the carpet and it really didn't pick up that much. I tried it on the laminate though and it picked up all the dust and crumbs that my toddler had made during his recent snack. (Note: the box says not to use on hard wood or laminate floors.) It worked really well on the laminate, similar to a broom. The bottom has two small 'brushes' that would stop it from scratching the floor, so I am not sure why the box advises against using it on that type of flooring. Overall, this is not that great of a product for carpet. I like it for my other flooring though. If you have a broom and a vacuum though, I wouldn't waste any more money just to have the Flick.

Hoover SteamVac Hose for F6 Series 43436023 90001334 Review

(More customer reviews)The Hoover Steam Vac Hose for the F6 series includes all the pieces I needed to replace the broken/leaking hose inside the carpet washer. We had repaired with duct tape several times where the hose bends sharply to hook up to the internal tank. The assembly I received included the nozzle/pull sprayer; a new triangular-shaped hand-held brush/vacuum piece; the hose itself (about 1.5 inches in diameter; same length as original), the interior hose (about the width of a big straw) that delivers water to the hand held sprayer; the end piece that attaches to the internal workings of the machine; a corner piece (already attached to the hose, shown in the right side of the Amazon photo) that snaps in to the body of the carpet washer (and forms a part of the outside edge of the washer body). Also includes a new rack to attach to the back of the carpet washer in case the old one has broken. These are all pre-assembled except the rack (one screw to install), and triangular brush (snaps on).
The hardest task was reviewing low-resolution schematics on other repair sites to determine part numbers for what I needed to purchase. Good news...all the pieces I thought I might have to purchase separately were included in this assembly, and it was pre-assembled. The straw-size hose is attached inside the larger hose, the end pieces are already affixed, etc. There are more pieces (the rack, the hand-held triangular brush) then shown in the photo. It was very easy to install. (One clue...cut the old hose off at the point where the old corner piece snaps in. Makes it easier to unsnap/remove the old hose assembly.)
Only tools you'll need are a flat head screwdriver and a Phillips head screwdriver.
My Hoover Steam Vac is good as new. Reasonable price for this replacement assembly. Shipped quickly.

Only concern might be chemicals for those with multiple chemical sensitivity. Also, wish it were just a little cheaper. I used 2 whole cans to cover one reclining rocker (can says one can will cover two chairs). I didn't overspray either, just light coverage back and forth at the appropriate distance. When that dried, I did apply another light coat, as recommended, rather than one thick spray coat.

(More customer reviews)Purchased for the home. Vacuum has great suction but cleaning the unit is messy. The foam filter needs to be washed monthly depending on how much you use the unit. As with any other vacuum i have used the carpet roller brush gets clogged with hairs and needs frequent cleaning and disentanglement. Floors are cleaned better with the use of the floor attachment (a pain when you are transitioning from carpet to floor). Cord is not retractable and does get in the way at times. I have no experience with a dyson vacuum but purchased this one due to the price. Unit is relatively light and construction is okay.

I found a site that offered to rememdies to remove cat urine odor in my rug. The first was to mix white vinegar and water, 50-50. The second was to mix peroxide, baking soda, and a few drips of dish washing detergant. I did both remedies, one after the other, and although to smell was a bit poignant and my son had to sleep with me for a night becuase of the smell and the chill in the room, it worked and the smell hasn't returned. This neutralizes the amonia in the urine crystals permanently.

It was difficult to find a model that would transition easily between wood and carpet. This model is excellent on the hardwood and tile floors, but it is not the greatest on the carpet. The suction is great and easily adjusted from the handle. It is easy to dump the dirt from the bagless collection area. It is a little small, so if fills up fast. The only other issue I have with this is that the cord is very short - so you have to keep replugging it in all over the house. Otherwise, a very lightweight, nicely designed vacuum. I am very pleased with it.

I have tried alot of things, especially in the avenue of natural products, and these are by far the best and most effective...not to mention the frangrance is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I get compliments all the time that my house smalls clean and fresh (not chemically clean!) and that is saying alot since I have 3 active kids running around constantly determined to dirty-up the place, and smelly diapers galore! I am no cleaning maniac, thankfully so! But I do enjoy the calm and clarity of a clean home...and I get all that from these products.
I must confess, that this all-purpose cleaner takes the place of the Counter top cleaner and the Carpet Cleaner. (don't let Mrs. Meyer know I said that!) I have tried both of those and found that this one is merely the same thing...maybe just more concentrated/or diluted. I do like the spray bottles from the Counter top cleaners....but I easily refill that bottle with this All-Purpose cleaner, add alittle water and you're all set!
I also found that adding this cleaner to my steam cleaner is just wonderful. Works so well, and my carpet smells like heaven for days.
I can easily clean showers, tubs, tile, carpet, walls, counters, floors, toilets (I use the Meyers Scrub powder) and everything.....they really mean All-Purpose, indeed!
I have to also say that I enjoy the Lavender variety and the Lemon Verbena as well......but this Geranium is the BEST!!

Rug Doctor Mighty Pro Carpet Cleaner Professional-Grade Power Review

(More customer reviews)Wow...did a pro just clean my carpet......On Saturday I cleaned my carpet not including the stairs because I'm missing a part of my Bissell steamer...I'll get the stairs later. The carpet was very dirty and a lot of dirt came up and overall looked pretty good for a standard home steamer. BTY it took H O U R S for the carpet to finally dry with a number of fans blowing in the room. But I still need to clean the stairs...mmmmm.
I saw an ad for $75.00 off of the Rug Doctor Mighty Pro Carpet Cleaner with attachment for cleaning stairs, after reading all the reviews it sounded like a good machine...I told myself....we will see...
So I designed to bit the bullet and pick one up at the local store, with the idea that if it didn't work well for me I could return it to the store.
Well on Sunday I re-cleaned the same carpet that I just cleaned the day before (with the Bissell) with the Rug Doctor Might Pro and............OMG......are you kidding me the dirt was un-believable that the Rug Doctor got out of my "CLEAN" carpet.
With a dog and family coming in and out all day our light color carpet get dirty fast, normally I just call a pro to come over and clean, man I'm sick of paying hundreds of dollars for the pro's to come in and clean the carpet and stairs...well through days are "O V E R" never again will I pay a pro to clean my carpet, this Rug Doctor Mighty Pro machine works great, easy to use and the set up...five minutes from box to cleaning...it's a no brainier...I'm impressed with this machine and it takes a lot to impress me.
I don't write many reviews but, I just needed to tell everyone about my experience with the rug doctor pro.

Others have said it's hard to know when the cleaning solution is gone...it's all in the sound, the machine will make a different sound to let you know when you need to add more cleaning solution, which goes in the bottom of the machine, the dirty tank sits on top and is easy to empty. I found myself filling the solution tank twice before I needed to empty the dirty tank.
This machine also came with a long hose and cleaning head attachment (Upholstery Kit) for cleaning stairs and tight spaces and car upholstery. The changeover was easy to do and the hose is long enough (12ft) to do ½ the stairs from the top and the other ½ from the bottom with room to spear, but I have to be honest with you...cleaning the stairs isn't easy, that's why the pro's charge per step...just do one at a time and soon they will be done. Drying time was cut in half with this machine which was very impressive, only took about 4-hours with fans blowing in the room for the carpet to dry completely. The Bissell and Hoover machines are no match to this machine.
Monday morning the carpet looks great my wife said it looks better than it did when the professional came in and cleaned the carpet...This Rug Doctor just paid for itself with the very first use...I will not be taking this back....
I now have a used Bissell cleaning machine for sale...cheap.....lol..:-)
Pros: Don't waste your money on the cheap brands, spend a little more on this machine, you'll be glad you did.
Cons: Little heavy but that's could be a good thing, more pressure on the carpet and a little loud.
Update: Transported to my mom's house with ease, cleaned her carpet and again better than a pro.
I would highly recommended this machine, cost a little more but worth every penny. Do your our research and read more review and you will agree that this machine out performs the other brands, hands down...good day!

Less than two years ago, in the process of blowing insulation into the walls, from the inside of the house, my beloved vacuum died. Needing one quick, I went to Consumer Reports, and, based on their recommendations, purchased an Eureka Boss. BIG MISTAKE! Pain to use, tired of getting hit in the leg with the hose, when not in use. When you needed to use the hose, you had to stop what you were doing, move the dial -- hose -- then move the dial back to vacuum regular. Tools falling off. You get the picture. Hated to have to vacuum!
Even though I take good care of my things (especially now a days, when nothing seems to last), the Boss broke in two, less than two years later. So, I came back to Panasonic and am VERY HAPPY I DID.
The UG471 is GREAT!
I have two non-stop shedding Siberian Huskies. This vacuum works great picking up their hair on hard wood floors and on carpeting. The tools, especially the hose, stay on board, when not in use and there is a place for all the tools on the vacuum. Retractable cord -- lovely!
The only downfalls I would site -- needs a longer cord (but it seems every manufacturer has shorten them to 30 feet. And a "grab" place on the front, for when you do not want to use the "power paw" when vacuuming stairs.
Excellent buy/value. Next up, a new Panasonic answering machine. Goodbye crappy Uniden (another terrible Consumer Reports recommendation!).

Haan MF4 4-Ultra Microfiber Pads, Blue Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these pads thinking they would work with my Haan steam cleaner model SI-35, but they are larger than the pads that came with that model and the velcro on the back is spaced farther apart.
Make sure you know which model steam cleaner you have and that these pads are for Haan models FS-20, FS-30, and FS-50 as it says on the packaging that the pads came in).
The pads that go with Haan steam cleaner model SI-35 are these: HAAN RMF4 4-Ultra Microfiber Cleaning Pads
These pads as you can see have a different item #, they are RMF4 and the 4 equals 4 pads whereas RMF2 would equal 2 pads.

Dyson DC24 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the DC 24 to replace a small vacuum and was my first Dyson purchase (though I have used them regularly in the past). I would not recommend this vacuum to replace a dedicated large upright. Dyson uses "airwatts" to specify the power of the vacuums and the DC 24 has 115 airwatts vs. 220 airwatts for the DC 25 and DC 15. Not knowing how many airwatts other vacuums use, I can only guess similar comparisons to other brands.

What to Like
=================
The DC 24 vacuum is lightweight 11.5lbs (DC25 16.1lbs and DC15 19.95lbs) and can go up and down stairs without problems (3 story condo). In fact, instead of using the hose attachment for the stairs I prefer to use the vacuum itself. It has a nicely placed handle in the front for this function (like a weed trimmer). You have to hold it out away from your body, as the brushes don't spin if the unit is placed upright.
Despite being lightweight and lower power, it has consistent suction and still get's a lot of dirt and dog hair out of the carpet.
The "Ball" allows the vacuum to access small, hard to reach areas without using the attachment. It is similar to using a swivel head on a mop. It handles my hardwood floors well, and now has replaced my sweeper.
The no-mess canister, easy to dump out with just a push of a button.
The washable hepa filter. This is one reason I do not have a problem with paying more for a Dyson. Effective heppa filtration requires regular replacement and that adds up in extra dollars. The dyson solves that with an easy clean filter.
5 year warranty. You will probably experience a disconcerting feeling when it's out of the box and it seems like flimsy construction. I usually destroy vacuums and so far this vacuum has held up well. I think the flimsy feeling comes from it's flexibility, the adjustment points and the ball. Trust me, I have dropped it a few times down a flight of stairs on the hardwood and it still looks and works as good a new.
Compact storage... that goes hand in hand with light weight, but it also telescopes down in height to fit under shelves for storage.
Coolest Dyson feature for me is the no-tool brushbar access/removal. Makes it very easy to remove obstructions from the brushbar without a tool set.

What not to Like
=================
The attachment is difficult to convert, this is not unique to this Dyson model. Some cleaver engineer came up with a way to make this attachment compact and self contained, but impossible to convert the first 10-15 times you use it. Dyson does have more expensive models that have easier to use attachments. After using their products for awhile, I have become a Dyson attachment Jedi Master.
The hose for the attachments is short. It can't reach my 10' ceilings without lifting the base up off the floor. I recommend the Dyson's flexible attachment for dust and/or cobwebs.

Other Notes
=================
The vacuum has trouble with large items (clumps of dog toy stuffing) that big vacuums normally don't hiccup on. It either doesn't have the brush head height or the plumbing for large items. It's not really a negative for me, as I learned early on to pick up big items that might destroy a perfectly working vacuum motor. I didn't have the same problem with using only the attachment.
